Turning double ended wool dreads into falls?

Post by linziloop » Sat May 15, 2010 5:46 pm

Hi there,

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere on the forums for some one else cos i could swear I've read it before, but i can't seem to find the thread with a search so sorry but I'm going to have to ask again!

I have a set of double ended wool felted dreads here that i need to make into falls. Whats the best way to do this? Not bothered whether i use elastic or ribbon or whatever, just the best way in your opinions would be ace! If i try and just knot them to a piece of ribbon they get a bit bulky around the knot...is there another way to attach them to something?!

Any help GREATLY appreciated :)

I used bands. you could use a yarn too if you wanted to add extra elements to the set by just tying different yarn around them at the top and leaving the lengths hanging as long as the dreads themselves.

Thanks Stilldawn, so just loop em around the elastic bands then, no physical attaching needed?

I turned my Jungle Dread roving into falls using this method.
