Recycled short blue dreads

Hi guys, long time no post from me! I decided I wanted to give curlies a go, so I curled my last set of blue dreads (that I last wore over a year ago, shocking!) and tried to install them (please note, the dreads had to be braided then boiled to make the waves... I tried corkscrew curls but because the dreads are so short they ended up being ridiculous!)

On my head are 36-ish dreads, install is a bit crappy at the back as I am so out of practise (and normally get my mum to do it) Would have uploaded a pic of that too, but have you any idea how hard it is to take a picture of the back of your head? Eeesh!

So yeah... Has anyone got any bright ideas how to UNCURL these bad boys once I'm done wearing them? hehehehe ;)

Resteam em, they'll straighten back up or pour boiling water over them.

That blue is gorgeous!

Good plan! They'll need a fair bit of maintenance after this wearing anyway ;)

The blue of my actual hair is a mix of Directions Midnight Blue and SFX Fish Bowl (scraping the dregs of the blues I had left! heh!) and the purple streak is Directions Plum (which is the devil, and sticks to EVERYTHING... my forehead is still purple under here!)

What gorgeous colours. And I really like the wavy curls they have too.

They really match your hair, which is awesome.

(also, I have two mirrors in my bathroom just so I can take a photo of the back of my head and see what it looks like. I sound so weird XD)

When I restraightened some of my curlies, I just tried to pull them as tight on both ends as possible when steaming. It got them pretty straight although some are a bit bumpy in some areas but they still straightened out really well. And those colors are lovely!

Cheers Kel!

I don't remember any legends about mermaids having such itchy scalps though... sigh! ;)
