hooray purple + blue XD

Post by tr1angl3 » Wed Aug 04, 2010 4:23 pm

I redyed my hair SFX deep purple and electric blue. I wasn't really too jazzed with the purple at first, it was really really really dark even though I diltuted the crap out of it (i'm talking near-black dark here -_-) But it fades awesomely so I'm starting to like it a lot more. the first time I did deep purple I mixed it w/ blue mayhem and I think I liked the results a little better. Also I'm growing out my mohawk so forgive my rediculous hair cut.
Hawk flipped the wrong way to show off the blue underlayer:

I feel like the purple in the back is a little icky, I think I'm going to go for blue all over next time. Or maybe green. Or both. Oh well :)

And just for fun, the faded purple/blue mix before i dyed it (this was at a Rusko show last week):

sorry me and the boy are drunk so we're making goofy faces.

I really like your hair before the Rusko show!
Oh, I agree about SFX - Deep Purple nearly being black when first applied. If you're going to remove the purple, just a word of advice: take it slow and rinse as much of the dye out with baby shampoo. It was a pain to bleach over -_-

Yeah I really shouldn't have redyed it, the color was really nice. But I just got a small set of dreads from Jane Doe and since I redyed and then faded it, the dreads match perfectly ^^. I'll add pictures of them installed soon 'cause I'm wearing them to Hard Fest tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice though, I figured that would be the case. This is a really stubborn dye ;_;

The SFX blue velvet is also very nearly black when first appled bu does fade to a very nice blue after a few washes. Although that was on bleached hair. x
