2nd & 3rd sets in progress...

Post by hellcity » Sun Oct 24, 2010 11:45 am

I'm currently working on a set for a friend of a friend (the fuchsia & black) and for myself (the blondes). The fuchsia/black set are skinny and I'm really pleased with how they're turning out. Despite the fact that the black has been sealing like crap. Hopefully my new steamer that will be arriving this week (wheeeeeeee!) should take care of that. They're only been sealed once thus far.

As for the blondes, I wanted something sort of natural, sort of not. Kinda going for the Angelina Jolie in 'Gone in 60 Seconds' look if you will. They're the first DE's I've done and the first sort of naturals. Oh, these have been sealed twice b ut only with boiling water. My old steamer died last night so when the new one arrives, I'm going to steam them as well.

Comments, suggestions, criticisms pretty please? I feel like I'm improving :)

Both are really nice, but I'm partial to naturals lately so I'm loving those best :)

Thanks gals. I'm feeling happy with my progress for the most part. My transitionals still suck (which is why there are none in there - I binned them all!), but I'm working on it hehe.

Your synths are looking really nice and smooth. Dont worry-transitionals are hard!!! You could always keep the trans ones and the 're do' them later. What i do is gently pull them apart-then re backcomb them and reseal again (I hate waste :P) but i always twist them after backcombing to check that they are smooth, and that im happy with the thickness/length.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks guys :) I'm really into naturals at the moment too. I'm thinking with my natural set, of throwing in some sleeker ones for contrast. And maybe some puffier ones. And maybe just going completely stupid hehe :)

Thanks Nic, that does help :) I should probably stop chucking tanties and throwing them out when they're not 100% ;)

I may never be a tall blonde-haired beauty but what's wrong with a short dread-headed cutie?
