Half head of hair dreads?

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone know of some picture with the under half of hair done with snyth dreads? I have very, very thick hair, and I'd like to grow it out. But once it becomes long in practically un-manageable. I want to possibly cut the underneath part of my hair short, and put some dreads in it. Like how some scenester have extension under they're hair, except my be dreads.
I've been looking for ages to try to find a picture of this, and can't find anything. Anyone help?
Any sort of dreads for the picture would be great, real or fake.
